I often think about the process a person goes through to get his or hers car repaired after an accident. Auto collisions are always an unwelcome addition to anyone’s life. They never come at a convenient time and most are much unexpected..If ya really stop and think about it..
 
We see the reality of it as it unfolds..From the emotion of hurting your pride and joy to just the basics of “how am I going to be without my car”…to the dealing with police reports to insurance company’s unreturned phone calls..
 

I’m sitting here today contemplating the auto body business and how to build internet presence for my business in Boise.. ..basically beating my head on the desk..there is sooo much to learn and I am sooo old..at least that’s the way it feels, talking about Linkedin and Google plus and Facebook and Twiiter and my website and optimization.. blogs and video…you get the picture..

Good Morning...I'm still in the infant stages of this blogging thing..tough on an old man..I sometimes think the term must of come from that favorite saying "blah, blah, blogging"..am I right? But the other day I learned you can blog about passions in your life..well now..that is something I could do. So I didn't have to think long about what passions I have..Auto racing and high performance boating are no doubt my biggest passions..besides my wonderful family..so today it's boats..

Last week we had a guest come in with his daughter for an estimate to repair damage..You could tell by the look on the young girls face..It wasn’t her best day. There was some frustration in the voice of her father. I put my arm around her and tried to make light of her situation..It helped a little.

After being in this business for 30 years sometimes I realize how much things have changed..not always for the better..Day before yesterday I had a customer stop by and he knew my Dad and my brothers...after giving me his name I realized that I had never met him but I had herad my Dad and brothers talk about him..anyway he had a two year old Duramax Chevy that was a really nice truck.

Getting up in the morning gives me the willy's...I don't like the cold and dark mornings. But it's a fact of life for about four serious months a year. If your vehicle must sit outside make sure your windows are de fogged in the morning. I see people all the time peeking through a little hole they've rubbed in the window..not good. The transition from summer to winter is short and some of our habits remain the same..so be safe, especially with kids out going to school. I know in my subdivision there are children on every other corner as I drive to work.
